This applies to Angelcare group of companies including UK subsidiary Hardenberg & Co Ltd.

Modern slavery is a crime and a gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships

Angelcare group are currently reviewing and taking steps to build robust policies, procedures and actions in light of the Act to ensure these human rights violations are not taking place in any part of the of the business group and its supply chains.

The group’s end products are sold in more than 360 countries and territories including the UK through distributors, retail stores and online and our workers are engaged throughout our supply chain including our raw materials, packaging, manufacturing, services, equipment..

At Angelcare we are in constant contact with our suppliers or any part of the business to ensure consistency and a quality is maintained at a high standard throughout.

Our approach applies to all persons working for the group or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners. We expect high standards from all and as part of our contracting processes, we will include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

Whilst the group is building its policies and procedures, all persons working for the group have been made aware to be transparent in our business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery. The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control.

Our statement outlining our actions and progress will be reviewed and published annually as part of our commitment towards the eradication of Slavery and Human Trafficking.
